WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?

Before entering the clinic you will need to wear a mask covering mouth and nose and your temperature will be taken with an infrared thermometer.  Masks are provided if you have not brought one with you.  In your first consultation a full medical history will be taken so that the practitioner has a good understanding of how to proceed and what your expectations are.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT LAST?

Your first consultation will last approximately an hour.  Any follow up appointments can be booked for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes or 90 minutes depending on your diagnosis, type of treatment and how many areas need treating.

WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO?

We may ask you to remove your top layer of clothing to gain access the area needing treatment.  It is still possible to treat through clothes if you do not feel comfortable removing top layers.  An assessment will involve a simple series of movements and orthopaedic testing to help confirm a diagnosis and understand how your body functions.  Osteopaths are not only focused on the diagnosis of your pain but understanding the underlying cause(s).

WHO WILL TREAT ME?

The main practitioner of The Surrey Health Clinic is Georgina Fromson, Bsc M.Ost, Registered Osteopath having a Masters degree in Osteopathy and a Bsc Sport and Exercise Science Degree from Loughborough University.  She has worked in full time practice since 2014.  She is also a Sport and Remedial Massage Therapist and Medical Acupuncturist and able to combine two or three treatments if deemed suitable for the patient.

WHAT WILL MY APPOINTMENT COST?

All initial consultations for osteopathy, sports massage or acupuncture are £49 for 1 hour.  All appointments are based on time and range from £29 for 30 minutes to £69 for 90 minutes.  We aim to provide high quality treatments at affordable prices.  We accept payment by card, cheque or cash on the day of your appointment.  We kindly request that you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to cancellation/changing your appointment.

CAN I CLAIM THROUGH MY PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE?

The Surrey Health Clinic is a recognised provider for a substantial number of major health insurance companies. These include PRU Health, Bupa, AXA-PPP, Cigna Healthcare, Vitality Health, Exeter Friendly Society, Aviva, Bupa International, WPA, Allianz and Simply Health.  If you do not see your health insurance company listed please contact us as there is a possibility you can still be covered.
Your insurance company will be billed direct.  All you need to do is obtain a referral from your doctor, call your insurance and get an authorisation number.  Once we have your membership number and authorisation code we take care of the rest.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located at Belgrave House, 39-43 Monument Hill in Weybridge, Surrey.  We are in the process of creating three designated parking spaces off Monument Hill so our clients are able to park for free for the duration of their appointment.  Until then please use the free car park off Baker Street and we will let you in through the barrier.

HOW DOES THE CLINIC HELP MANAGE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?

The clinic room is disinfected to a high standard in between every patient.  We leave 30 minutes in between patients to ensure no cross contamination and the room is aired and cleaned.  Our practitioners wear protective disposable aprons, masks and visors throughout the appointments and wash and sanitise their hands before and after treatments.  All patients are required to wear face coverings.  All practitioners are fully vaccinated.  We have no soft material furnishings in the clinic room so that every contact point i.e. chairs, plinth and plastic pillows can be wiped down and sanitised.  If a towel needs to be used these are then placed into a sealed wash bin and left for 48 hours before washing at 60 degrees.  An infrared heat light can be used to help keep patients warm during treatments.

CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?

Yes, it is possible to get a same-day appointment providing we are not fully booked.  The online bookings system will show you any availability on the day.  Alternatively you can call 01932 558988.  We currently do not have a full time receptionist so please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Yes, we do offer home visits however there is an additional charge for travelling costs.
